GFT Forex Review

I have been with GFT for 7 months now and my experience with them so far has been close to downside rather than a good experience. I am trading simultaneously with other platforms on several servers so it is a good way for doing comparisons.

My overall trades with them have just been unprofitable. This is, on most parts due to my orders not getting filled for some reason. This is especially applicable when it comes to their direct deals. I experienced a average 85% requote on my orders and that is quite frustrating as you can imagine. Since then, all my orders were dealt with directly through a human personnel instead of through their direct automated dealing desk. This was not a solution either because by the time someone actually got down to looking at my orders, the market had changed so I still continued to get requoted.

Soon after, I changed my in and out positions by using the stop limit orders. Although it slowed me down a little, I was starting to profit from it. When I started to profit, they started to widen their spreads from the average 10 or 11 to about 24 to 25. This situation happened at any time, day or even night.

When they first started adding Futures to their list of trades, I got worked up because I liked the prospect of being able to deal both FX and Futures on a single platform. However, the platform only slowed down to a crawl after this introduction. I was told to unistall and reinstall not once but 4 times in total but the problem still persisted.

What was even worst was when my forex specialist handling my account suddenly quit and vanished without a trail and any prior notice. I was left hanging and was passed to a person with no prior trading experience. My request to the manager revealed that he too was new then and probably knew just as much about trading as my current 'specialist' does. He had the nerve to tell me that although he had no prior trading experience, he had hired a dozen or so forex specialists with no prior experience due to the high employee turnover.

Needless to say, I closed my account that very day itself. How can I even continue trading with them when the company is run by a group of inexperienced personnels? For me, there is only one direction for the company and that is down and south!
