I will be the first to say that Forex Investments, like any other form of investments, carry about tangible and intangible risks. If you are not willing to take risks (nor prepared to incur any possible losses, DO NOT get into it!).

When I first used Etoro some one year plus or so, I had a fairly rocky start. It was probably due to my inexperience in trading and as a result, suffered losses in some of the trades I made. Still, that wasn't why I mentioned that my initial experiences with Etoro were fairly unpleasant.

In my very first trade, Etoro closed it at 8 pips above my SL. It never even reached my Stop Loss and nowhere near it as you can see. I just didn't understand why they did that but I put that behind, being my first trade. The next problem I had was actually dealing with the platform itself. While the demo was fine, the actual account actually had glitches from time to time. There were instances where these delays resulted in unfavorable trades for me. On other occasions, this platform stopped responding altogether and as you can probably imagine, that was a major bummer!

Still, I persisted and boy, am I glad I did. I realized that my experience with the first trade where the trade was closed above my SL was a technical problem which they solved. I am glad they did – they actually had the courtesy to email me and apologize for that which I really appreciate! The system still experiences occasional crashes but they do not last for more than 5 minutes each time and you will still be guarded by your SL.

Another thing I like about Etoro is that they give you the option to withdraw from Moneybookers rather than the usual direct credit card method. I find this to be convenient personally. The withdrawals are fairly fast too. It used to take between 10-14 days for the withdrawals to be process but nowadays, it is done under 7 days. Two thumbs up for that! Another plus point would be the bonus referee system; simply meaning they will reward you if you bring people in to trade with them. I have referred several of my business associates so far and they have nothing but positive reviews for them. It is definitely a 'Win-Win Situation' for everyone.

Although I had a rocky start with Etoro, my subsequent experience with them have been smooth sailing .I am also pleased to say that the support team is efficient and the response time is FAST! One of my favorite platforms!
